Agreed, this is the simple fix.
Remember however that if your Saab has headlight washers, removing the check valves may allow gravity to empty the hose to the windshield through the headlight washers. Result is a slight delay before the washer pump fills the hose to the jets.
A small consideration perhaps but I'm sure that there's a check-valve engineer in Trollhatten that's just fuming over the comments on his designs. Then again, maybe it was a part time project for the windshield trim engineer moron. Maybe he also did the glove box design. And that little rubber mat in the bin in the dash. And the dorky interior light switch. And the really stupid upper strut mounting. And the AC evaporator (I'd actually like to kill that guy, as I'm sure many of us would).
Oh well, I think I'll go listen to Mjollnir sing to me at 6k rpm. 100 mph as I shift from 3 to 4. Music.
