These are very smooth running and quiet tires. Perhaps not something that would seem to be important unless you have had tires that made driving less than a pleasure. They are at the top of the price range. I am waiting to get started with them in their second season after I can get the snow tires off. It will be interesting to see how they are with the Abbott rescue kit. I have the steering rack brace to install yet. That will be a nice job for a worm afternoon and a cool beer.
Tires are very important. They can so very easily be the weak link in the system. When I got the tires fitted at Tirerack's South Bend location while on route to Canada, I was in heaven for the rest of the trip driving with them. A wonderful experience. Watching them mount the tires and balance them was also a pleasureable and educational experience. They have some very good equipment there and some folks who are great to dal with.
BTW, Michelin has a reputation for producing tires with the most acurate roundness.
You have to read the comparative tire reviews at tirerack.com.
