Help: sticky manual gear lever

I'm just about to buy a 97 SE Talledega turbo in black, fully loaded (awesome test drive!). I couldn't really find anything wrong except that the gear lever is very sticky (compared to my old 9000) crossing over between left and right i.e. 2nd to 3rd. I've read some of the other threads and it sounds like the worn bush problem that Nigel Ash mentioned last November. (http://www.saabnet.com/tsn/bb/NG900/index.html?bID=33346) and answered by Bill D.
Can anyone out there please give me some comfort before I buy a dud!
BTW, It's done 65,000 miles and the seller says they're all like it !
