The difference between Abbott and Maptun both are experianced racing companies. Abbott use to race the cars themself and Maptun supplies Trollhaten.

The Abbott ECU changes the base boost. That means instead of having lets say 6psi base you know have 15psi or something in this ballpark. What does that do to the car. It adds pure power. I have had three different Abbott ECU's and not all performed the same. Two were standard ECU's one was a Experimental one. In the standard ECU the boost is great but max boost (1.5bars or what ever you tune it to) is obtained above 3000 rpm's. Now with the experimental ECU the max boost hit in at 1500 rpms. This made it incredible quick and hard to handle with out the Viggen Rescue Pack which was a must. The problem with the Abbott system is that the boost sometimes comes on to quickly allowing the transmition to take a beating. Remember 1.5 bars is around 22psi.

Now to tune the Abbott system you have to dail down the new upgraded wastegate which is 10psi the experimental one is 12psi. I'm not sure what the stock wastegate numbers are. This dailing down is not easy. Remember the engine is hot. After sometime of dailing down the car is tuned. What you just did is change your base boost.

Maptun is different they do not change the base boost just the top end. What that means is a much more gradual change in boost. Instead of all at once. This is safer on the transmition. Now you did not have to change the base boost just change the ECU. No near burning yourself while you adjust the new wastegate. Maxium boost is still 1.5 bars.

Now Maptun also has camshafts (it raises fuel cut-off to 6800-7000rpm's), transmittion and turbo upgrades(more psi's) to allow for more power. They also have a set upgrade on the ng900 to achieve 290hp. If you want more power they will make kits for you up to over 400hp.

Abbott does not have camshafts, turbos or transmittion upgrades but they make great suspension upgrades. They claim that they will soon have a turbo upgrade but I would expect it to be pricey.

I wrote this quickly but I think I answer you question max boost is 1.5bars and depending on what system you have dictates the fuel cut-off.
