It has been by experience that this is a two person job. One sits in the drivers seat and pumps the brakes pedal on command of the one who is opening the bleeder valve. I always started from the wheel farthest from the reservoir (generally the right rear) and work toward the closest. Use a clear aquarium tube to put over the bleeder valve to check for air bubbles. Pump the brake pedal until firm, keeping the bleeder valve closed, hold brake pedal down and release the valve. The brake pedal will go to the floorboard (don't release brake pedal from the floor until the valve is closed). Close the valve and repeat until no bubbles are seen in the tube. Move to the Left Rear and repeat. I don't think the order matters as much on systems that have a seperate brake line running from the master to the wheel cylinder or caliper.
