Location of motor for hot/cold air blending (ACC)?

I have warmish air from the vents regardless of setting the temp on max or min settings.
Recently had the ignition switch replaced at the shop, and around the same time installed the Speedparts ECU myself. I suspect one of us somehow either disconnected the wiring for the motor that controls hot/cold air mix, or jammed it partly open.
I have removed the glove box, the console side panels and the stereo amp from the passenger side footwell. BTW, I can see no loose wires in the area where I was working on the ECU swap. I can't fully withdraw the ACC module itself; it is either binding at the top left edge, or otherwise something is holding it in.
I need guidance on where to find the temp mixing motor itself. I can see a small (half-sized) hockey puck shaped thing mounted vertically in plain sight above where the amp came off, with a wiring connector plugged into it. When I change the air from floor to dash to windshield, I can hear a motor humming but I can't tell if the little cylinder I can see is the motor that is working.
Before I take any more stuff out of the side footwell, can anyone tell me where the hot/cold blending motor is and how to get to it and/or its wiring?
I have the Haynes manual, but it is for a RHD model and not all of the instructions in the HVAC section seem to match what I am looking at in my car....
I'll leave it all disassembled for now. Thanks in advance for any pointers,
/Geoff
