(as if there is such a thing!), don't forget to budget 10% of your spend for cables (yes, they do make a difference). Otherwise reckon on a third, a third, a third if you're getting a CDP, amp and speakers. Project make good inexpensive turntables BTW (all depends I suppose on how much you're going to use it). Take your own CDs/records & trust your own ears. Used is good but bear in mind that good budget CD players (for example) will blow away many older expensive machines. S/H speakers and amps are much better in this respect but make sure you're getting something sound, as it were.

Best of luck. You know there are about thirty Saabers here dying to see what you come up with!
