I've had that dream about my Saabs too.

I had a dream the other night about my irreplaceable e-type roadster.

Background: It's in the shop for the season getting some bodywork done and being stripped and repainted. The guys who do it are very experienced and well regarded. One is on vacation (Chuck), the other is working at the shop (Walter)

In my dream, I visited the shop and it was all changed around, dimly lit and disorganized. My car was there half naked covered with a sheet and some parts and tools. A husband and wife team, each about 50-60 years old was working there by themselves. I didn't know them, so we introduced. I asked where Walter was. They said he was fired. Chuck and Walter had a nasty religous disagreement about the proper temperature of the workshop, and Walter got fired they said.

I asked how things were going with my car. The lady was standing next to a big disc grinder and her husband was cleaning nearby. He was cleaning because he didn't know anything automotive. She said they'd both been working on the hood (bonnet) with that thing there that makes lots of sparks. She didn't know what it was called, and her husband didn't chime in. I was mortified. I asked if it was the grinder, and she agreed.

I called up Chuck on his cell phone while he was on vacation. He asked me what I thought of the new people. I told him I didn't know what to think.
I wondered when Chuck would be back from vacation to straigten this mess out. Then I woke up.
