Have named most my of my cars. But I only refer to the ones with "personalities" in the third person. Those tend to be Saabs and a couple of VWs.

The old C900 has been Sven since the day we got him in 1984. My wife used to joke that when she had to leave the office she could say, "Sven is waiting for me at the train." That's the only car she refers to by name. But then he's been in the family for a long time! Right now Sven needs an infusion of cash and time. But he is older than either kid.

Interestingly, a friend of my wife has a daughter who just acquired a 93 C900 Turbo. Don't know it's name yet, but her previous Saab C900 was an 84 she called Sven.

My current 1996 9000CSE is Griffin.

My kids used to think it was strange to name cars. Now they think it's OK. So I have already warped my offspring. Then again, all they want to drive is Saabs, so it's OK.!
