Well, I agree that you don't want to warm it up by idling. Running just enough to get oil circulating, then driving moderately until it's warm is good. Well, at least long enough so the windows are clear ;)
But if you never drive long enough to warm it up, that's not good. Better would be simply make an excuse to drive some more so it warms up the oil. I didn't mean to say let it sit running.
