Ford was smart to have the platform introduced as a Volvo first then it is Ford. They learned from the Jag mistake when Ford used the platform first. They were developed at the same time. And I seriously doubt that there are no Ford parts or designs in Volvos. According to Forbes, Ford is planning on moving some Volvo production to the US to further-share- parts and cut costs. So on the whole Volvo has a few "pure" cars, a few that it shares with Mazda and who knows what down the road. Remember, not all Volvos are making money.
