with what you do with your life. So don't get too obsessive about it. You need a job to get you rolling and put some cash in your wallet. You're just out of school so you are entry level. Everyone was once. With a communications major you should be able to work in a lot of different types of firms. Ad agencies and marketing communications companies are a possibility. You won't find the perfect gig (it doesn't exist) walking right out of school.
For animation, talk to some video production companies. These companies do all kinds of things--especially for corporate productions--and often have people on staff who do the video editing and then add animation. You'll probably need to learn some new skills, but such is life. You could also try getting a job at TV stations (especially ones outside of a major metro area).
You may want to consider getting a job that is OK for now and then taking some courses in animation as well. But do so with an eye to how many ways you can use it. It can pay to specialize to some extent, but you don't want to be a one-trick pony. Be flexible, versatile and don't be afraid to reinvent yourself every few years.
Good luck.
