From my earlier post:
"He said that a sport bike from Suzuki/Kawasaki/etc. would be a good buy only if it had less than..."
I never said that I was told that Hondas are shot at 20,000...or even that any bike is shot at 20,000... just that the comment was made (By a guy who was trying to sell me a Suzuki) that a 20,000 sport bike from him would potentially be a good buy, but that higher miles might prove to have reliability issues.
I'm certain that there are a lot of bikes out there with tons of miles on them (Probably a bunch of Beemers and Hondas) which still ride wonderfully...and that there are a lot of junked bikes with low miles... but I was just suggesting that BMW has built a reputation for having very long-lasting, reliable bikes.
Cheers,
Peter
