Ansel Adams.... heard of him? Posted by PGAero [Email] (#1143) [Profile/Gallery] (more from PGAero) on Thu, 28 Sep 2006 16:35:59 In Reply to: Re: John Muir Trail - highly recommended, Ardent, Thu, 28 Sep 2006 16:10:42 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I know every one knows who Ansel Adams is. He did a lot of his work in the southern Sierras. The Sierra Nevada (nicknamed "The Range of Light") really do lend themselves to great photography, even if you do just hold up your camera and push that one button on the top right!
I used a Canon SD 450. Awesome little camera. The battery lasted for 15 days, and my backup finished strong, with plenty of life left at the end. I basically filled a 1GB memory card with the camera set to Medium/Large picture format.
Thanks for the kind words, Ardent. The mountains do help, and some shots were purely snapshots... others more well thought-out compositions. I did refrain from carrying my HEAVY SLR (Canon Elan 7e). I'll bring that on shorter trips.
