I haven't gotten 3-years out of the OEM battery in either of my previous two Saabs; the battery in my 2005 9-5 Arc Wagon failed when the car was about 2-1/2 years old, and the battery in my 1999 9-3SE failed sometime shortly after the car was 2-years old.
