The Poang's a great chair. They've been making it for decades, and most of the stores even have a gizmo that sits there pushing on one over and over again all day long so you can see how durable they are. I've had one for about 10 years, and it's as sturdy as the day I bought it. The frame itself is fairly cheap, but the cushions can get expensive. I went for some mid-range corduroy ones that have held up very nicely, but are no longer made. The leather ones are great, but are over $150 for the chair and footstool. Very little at Ikea is made in Sweden anymore, but don't let that deter you. I think my chair frame was made in Romania and the cushions were made in Canada.
