All it takes is one guy leaving out one layer or part of the green tire before it gets cooked...
A prototype tire may have met US standards at one time or another, but the overall quality control is the issue.
Fair disclosure...I have Hankook snows and they work, but not well...rubbery sidewalls and I don't care for the handling. Next time it's Dunlop or Michelin snows
