Got a Craftsman (not a cheapie) maybe two years ago, and used it maybe once or twice before the cigarette lighter adapter promptly fell apart. Sears gave me a new one, but the plug doesn't fit in the cigarette lighter. I have to switch the unit on, attach it to the valve stem, then get in the car and hold the plug in while it fills up. Get out, check with my gauge (the gauge on the compressor sucks), then get back in if it needs more air.
Yes, it fills my tires (decently powerful) and is free air (none around me), but it's not the most convenient process. I'd probably get a 120v one that plugs into the wall next time. And not a Craftsman...the reviews on Sears' website are appalling.
