From a motorcycle perspective bicycles seem way too dangerous. You're forced to ride at a great speed differential from traffic, squeezed to the side of the road, without proper riding gear.
Many consider motorcycles dangerous too, but you can assume your rightful position in traffic at a much safer pace without the speed differential and you'll have much better lighting, visibility brakes and handling.
Modern motorcycle gear is fully armored lately, back pads, shoulder pads, elbow pads, hip pads, knee pads and is made of some pretty amazing tough fibers. A decent bicycle helmet just can't compare with a modern motorcycle helmet and you probably won't be pedaling your bike in boots that cover your ankles and calves. And they even have the kind with a head to toe zipper that you can just step in and out of with your work clothes underneath, refreshed and relaxed instead of sweaty and winded.
Mile per mile a motorcycle is many times safer than a bicycle IMHO. And did I mention how much fun you can have when you're not riding to work? If you're a motorhead modern motorcycles have amazing technology and a slow motorcycle is faster than a fast Saab.
