Was at the Pick & Pull yesterday looking for a door for the Trans Am, and stopped by the Saab section to see what was there. Found a really nice '92 turbo convertible sitting around, and found that the hood was pried open from the front - there was a 2' gap between the skin and the reinforcement, for no reason. Flipped it forward, and found that the primary transmission housing was OBLITERATED. Someone had smashed it into pieces, presumably to remove the clutch (which was gone). I could not believe it... those things are pretty tough, and someone went to town on it. That's one way to ruin a perfectly good late-model transmission... nice.
