You guys are crazy with this "warranty has to be honored" talk. If Saab went bust in its current state, who do you expect to honor it. Mr Muller coming to your house with a ratchet set? Under GM, the warranty would be honored if they shuttered Saab as the warranty is their obligation, but if Saab went under in its current situation it would almost certainly be a full bankruptcy and owners would be out in the cold. This happened to all the Rover and MG owners in Europe not long ago. Fortunatly, it looks like Saab has a very sound business model going forward, and I trust that the EU and Swedish governments did their due dilegence when they provided their loans. My personal opinion is that Saab should be sound in the near term, which is most important to your purchase, as a few years out you'll be out of warranty and the car's value will be much lower, so Saab being a shakier ground (which hopfully won't be the case!) will have a smaller potential impact on your wallet.
