The article I read (I think it was on Jalopnik) said the demand for the turbo motor was too low to justify production. Something like 80% of people opted for the NA 3.0 motor.
I suspect the NA motor felt a lot better in normal driving, especially off the line. Since that's all most people think or care about, that initial impression makes the deal. IMHO, neither the average SRX customer nor the typical Caddy sales guy has a clue about turbo engines and where their advantages are on the road.
But I bet a SRX-V model with the big honkin' V8 would sell just fine.
