I am assuming this is the incident that happend last year during the Corvette Museum Anniversary where they have autocross and drag strip events. I was there last year before I traded in my '99 C5 for a 9-5 Aero(am I am not looking back :). The Corvette crowd tends to be a little less concerned or reckless in their regard. I know of few incidences that had happen while I was in the circle for the 6 months of ownership. I know that weekend alone there was a C5 that over powered it's tires(Lingenfleter motor) with an inexperienced driver and he looped it at about half track causing the purchase of a new rear end and exhaust. The driver was fine but it was weird returning from a run and seeing a white C5 spinning down the track. Not to mentioned the evening gets a little wild with alot of bleach/amonia spent on burning tires. :) Definitely not like Saab events...we just have spud launchers!
