You will see that the 9-3 scores 76% overall translated to 4 stars, and ties with the Volvo S40 for the 1st place in the category "large family cars".
The Jetta is a sedan version of the Golf, and the Golf isn't even placed in the same category. It's placed in "small family cars", where it scores 74% overall / 4 stars. However since it's a smaller car and another category you can't compare it directly.
Since the Jetta isn't sold in Europe anymore, it hasn't been tested by EuroNCAP. There are results for the A4 and Passat though, and they're not good:
Audi A4: 50% overall / 2½ stars
VW Passat: 56% overall / 3 stars
EuroNCAP is the most advanced crash testing agency in the world and is regarded as the most reliable source of crash test data.
