I kind of enjoy looking at the image and availability
of a single car in different markets. Even more so
that some models are simply not available in some
markets cause they will not sell there... LOL
US Maxima
2001 HP 222 3.0L V6 5spd v/s 230Hp for 2001 Aero (240 in OB for 5spd)
2002 HP 255 3.5L V6 6spd v/s 250Hp for 2002 Aero (260 in OB for 5spd)
Price +/- $25000
Euro Maxima
2001 HP 192 3.0L V6 only as Auto in most markets
Price +/- $29000 (remind you an Aero starts at $31000 here)
The US/Euro cars are more of less the same...
While in the US its considered as a sports sedan... (sure...)
in Europe its considered as a poorly handling sedan
that is overpriced... and they do handle like a good old NOVA.
Anyways... the real fun came when I used the car compare
on the US Nissan site... Maxima SE vs AERO LOL
It says the Maxima gives you advantages like...
2 more CYL (oh yeah do we need those LOL, spares right?)
V engine (oh we care...)
larger engine (so...)
More Headroom (I doubt that... depends how you measure)
More legroom (again depends how you measure, again the too short seat trick)
less money... yeah the Maxima is less expensive
What they don't say is that:
Aero is faster
Aero is safer
Aero has more torque
Aero is more fun to drive LOL (well how could they know)
Aero has Turbo engine (which we know is easy to tweak)
Anyways... I am sure that the Maxima is a decent car, but looking at
it... well er... what styled it? a blind duck? ahhh sure! a Leming!
And the fun part is that we all get to enjoy the Maxima owners when
they try to outrun our Aeros... which is fun LOL Cause they keep
trying and don't get any smarter...
Before anyone forces me to buy a Maxima... well I would rather
buy a Passat LOL
Regards,
Coolknight
I hate these rounded bathtub shapes a la Maxima, TT, A6 etc... they
all look the same.
