It was also my first hatchback. It was fun, sporty, and never had any problems. I took it up to 160,000 miles before it got crunched by an SUV in a parking lot. The front end was messed up so the insurance totalled it...and I moved up to 9-3. :-)

The used car I had when I went to college was a '72 Dodge Demon (Plymouth Duster clone) with the old Chrysler slant-6 engine. That car was pretty sweet since the previous owner had reupholstered the interior and it was in great shape!

After college I had a used Datsun Maxima. It was OK, but the body was very prone to rust.
