Other car is a bmw 328i.

Older cars:

90 saturn sl2. Very reliable, but when i sold it at 98K miles, it burned a quart of oil every 1,000 miles, it had loosened up a ton and was very noisy on the highway, and i sensed a number of things ready to go wrong.

'90 passat gl. Bought it in 97 for wife. She loved it, and it drove well, was very large, and good good MPG. But it had tons of niggling problems, and wasn't really save enough, so we got her the '97 900 SET.

'85 tercel hatchback. Slow as mud, rusted out after many chicago winters, but the mechanicals were almost indestructable. I think i changed the oil 3 times in 2 years.

'86 escort hatch. Had a lot of problems, but it was spunky.

As you can see i like hatchbacks. It seems that even saab's hatch may go away, and i may have to look wagon in the future.
