unless GM takes a Chev Malibu and slaps a SAAB badge on it (Which they have NOT done with the new 9-3). People like us don't want to buy quirky, we want to buy unique, which SAAB is and was, but SAAB has been and still is a little quirky. Unique is positive, quirky is negative in the eyes of most people. In any car brand, you have die-hard loyalist, which will not break away from the brand, but that is a small percentage of buyers. The rest buy the car because that is what's hot at that time. These people can be swayed to buy a car based on marketing and GM has the $$$$ to advertise and now SAAB has the car to at least have a chance to take some of BMW and Volvo's customers. If this car gets a couple of good reviews in a couple of magazines, especially consumer reports, SAAB is on the way to healthy sales. The more people SAAB gets in the show rooms and on test drives, the more cars they will sell. From my experience, once you buy a SAAB, you become loyal...maybe many more will too.
Maybe Scott should go ahead and buy a bigger server to handle the new traffic...come on be optimistic.
