think long and hard about what you are about to do. I financed (co-signed) an auto loan for a fiance once. We broke up before the weddding and she stuck me with the note and kept the car! (She turned out to be a serious manic depressive and attempted suicide... call me a cad but that was baggage I didn't want!)
If your GF is not your fiance much less your WIFE, sacrificing _your_ financial well being for _hers_ is imprudent no matter how much "you love each other." Other 30 year olds (face it you're knockin' on the door!) may be buying houses and having kids, but they're MARRIED! At 29 & SINGLE you should be out having as much fun as you can because once you get married and have legitimate kids you may not be able to _afford_ that AERO!
Other posts in this thread have suggested your GF look for grants or scholarships. That's good advice; think twice about laying your future on the line with someone you are not married to or about to be married to.
My $ .02 after being there and doing that. Good Luck however you proceed.
