'04 Rolls Phantom - 265/790-540 tires? Posted by Mike Lynch [Email] (#81) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Mike Lynch) on Mon, 30 Aug 2004 14:52:15 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
We get an invite every Sunday to a very exclusive high rise development in Coronado across the bay from San Diego, where the majority of units are owned by Mexican nationals as they have a very panoramic view of San Diego bay and Tijuana, aka the "Taco Towers". Out front was a gray 2004 Rolls Royce Phantom sedan, still with the temporary registration in the window.
This is a very different looking Roller from years past with the huge chrome Rolls grill that looks better, and more imposing, in person. Sorta' like an older Jag sedan, the car flows and tapers rearward, so the grill and the flying lady dominate even more.
Anyway I was checking out the rubber. The Michelins were 265/790-540. What's up with that? I remember the old TRXs being 390's and approximately 16 inchers.
