FYI, the 9000 was a much smaller and lighter car than the 9-5 wagon.
Why not pick up where GM left off with Saab since most Saabs have Opel/Vauxhal DNA?
The new Buicks are knock your socks off quiet with the new Verano quieter than a Lexu LS. Though the handling may not be as crisp as a lighter Saab the numbers in the var magazines prove the Verano and the Regal GS match or exceed late model Aeros in slalom, skid pad lateral g's, and braking.
The latest GM 2.0T, intoduced in 2006 when it made 290hp/340trq, when tuned can hold higher torque than for longer rpms than the last 9-3/9-5 2.8TT Aeros when they are tuned. The 2.0T is more efficient and produce peak torque in the 1,700-1,900 rpm range thanks to direct injection.
