The last one that I blew up had about 60k miles on it and it was a regular stock rebuild. I had about the same amount of power all through the 60k and I did two track events with the tranny.
Eventually, I pushed it too hard with full boost in 2nd gear and stripped the gear clean...
I think the failure was the result of 60K miles and higher horsepower.
The 1st one I blew up was in 1st gear coming out of a toll booth. Stock tranny with slightly higher boost. I'm not sure what happened, but the case cracked in half!
It's hard to really know what caused the failures. Either worn out parts or pushing it too hard or a combination of both.
