Take the time to go to Automotion. You will thank yourself.

I've run a Stage4 tune for years.
In terms of torque, it's amazing. The pull comes immediately from under 2000rpm and the car continues to pull strong past 5000rpm. There is something satisfing about being able to achieve wheel spin in the middle of third gear up hill on a nice stretch of Vt mountain road. Paul and Frank build monsters when you ask them to.

Everyone has their own ideas when it comes to tuning and you have a great base to work with. A high flow intake and intercooler are key, as are leak free vaccuum lines and fresh plugs.
Now for what you may not want to hear:
Walk out to your car and open the hood.
Remove your MBC.
Throw it as far as you can.
When I bought my 9000 aero it had one equiped from its previous owner.
It is a great cheap fix for a small power increase but is severely limiting because it disables the safety systems in the SAAB's Trionic engine management that allow for reliable high boost/power applications.

For a Stage 4 "plug and play upgrade" you will need to source a TD04 aero turbo (Automotion often has them in house), and jj is right about the downpipe, make sure it's 3" from the turbo back. After the new SQR ecu is installed, do your adaptation runs like a good litte SAABer and prepar to be amazed. The first half of the gas pedal feels like a stock 9000 and then you have something else entirely. Don't take my word for it.
Go to Automotion in Billerica and take a spin in an SQR tuned car. If you want, you can use mine. When you get there, tell Paul I said he sucks.

See you on the road.
