<Can you be more specific in regards to your take on the MBC+A... so venturing past 15 psi is air fuel mayhem which the stock T5 ECU cannot take....>
I'm not sure what the A in your equation stands for.
MBC (manual boost controler) = Foolish
Using a manual boost controler means that the T5 ecu can no longer control the boost pressure when detonation accures. When knock begins, the ecu is sending signals to the missing APC solenoid (the car's factory electronic boost controler) to cut back on boost but it has no control. This means that you can not run 20lbs of boost safely as you can with proper SQR programming.
Taking this a step further, you are not protected now at your modest 15lbs of boost. Mix some bad gas with a hot day, maybe shake in a boost spike, salt, and some lime. This is a great resipe for a blown engine ...or margaritas, I can't remember which... the point is I've been there and I've done it. I'll tell you now from experience that the blown engine tastes a lot better after the margaritas are down, but even after the tequila shots you wish you could take back what you've done.
