Depending on how much better flowing a new intercooler (and hopefully larger delivery pipes to go with it) is than the stock one, you might end up flowing more air and need more fuel, but you have the SD fuel software, so it might work out ok.

I think you desparately need a 3" downpipe and preferably a full 3" exhaust to go with it. Headers if you can find them. 24psi on the stock cast elbow and downpipe are ludicrous, even with the SD turbo. It should free up the low end of your powerband, spool up the turbo sooner in the rev band, and lower your EGT's in the upper range. It might help lower your intake temps a little too and help the heat soak issues you may be experiencing by getting the turbo into a more efficient operating range.

My C900's reacted very positively to nice gradually radiused 3" downpipes, especially with the battery moved to the trunk. At the very least if your exhaust manifold has the little hump in turbine flange area grind that guy out, it should help the flow a little. If you have like a '90 or '91 or later it should already be gone.

You might also get a wide-band on the car and see what the mixtures look like under boost, if it's running real rich that will kill your power too, even with all the boost you are making.

Lastly, you might consider going to a 2.1L intake manifold and or cylinder head to open up the breathing even more of you haven't already done so. You will probably find that with some or all of these breathing improvements you are making the same or better power on less boost pressure, but with a much meatier torque band.

My $0.02.

What tires were you running? What pressure? That will play a big role in the launch performance of your drag times.

Best,
Drew
