This topic gets beaten up regularly.

You can get the Saab sports exhaust, and a K&N drop in filter. This will improve the breathing. P/N 33-2663

If you are into wrenching your own cars, then you can remove the turbo compressor discharge silencer.

If you are a comfortable working metal, you can modify the cast aluminum throttle body transition casting to improve flow.

You can also modify the air filter box to make it less restrictive.

At this point you can improve the turbo spin up reponsiveness by adjusting the wastegate actuator shaft by a turn or two. This will not/can not increase the maximun boost. If you are looking for more power, not just more responsiveness, skip this.

If you want more boost, you can fit an external boost controller and get up to 1 bar of boost. This will cost 95 US$ to perhaps $150. If you go for an electronic controller, probably $300 and up.

If you want more power, you can get 1.3 bar of boost with an Abbott Racing modified ECU, which will set you back close to 1000 US$ by the time you are done.

To further improve volumentic efficiency, you can replace your intercooler with the Viggen intercooler. This will probably cost around 400 US$ by the time you get it installed. Some have installed the parts themselves. But it is a fair amount of work. The bumper has to be removed from the vehicle to get at it. You need the new IC and two rubber elbows for the air, and a new lower rad hose which make room for the new plumbing.

95 SET, 15 PSI (1 BAR), stock intercooler ;(
