Low impedance injectors can be retro'ed to the LH system, found the info on a Volvo site recently, but I can't find the site right now. From what I recall it was a simple cut and paste operation, splicing the resistor packs into the injector wiring harness. The resistor packs were located on the wheel wells of some Volvo's, but I don't remember if the site listed which cars using the LH system had the resistor packs.
Finally located a dyno about 3 hours away, haven't called them yet, but am hoping to setup something for December, may be January though.
I am currently dialing in 85# injectors with zero boost, turbo still attached, wastegate open, intake is from throttle body with filter. I was really wanting something in the 65# range, but got a real deal on a new set of Holly 85#'s and they seem to be working well. Startup, idle and general drivability is excellent, but am still working out throttle tip-in, when easing back into it from trailing throttle. I'm also trying different things with the ignition curve.
Running zero boost is really proving to me that the stock cams are up to the task, this thing really opens up above 5K and zips to my 7250 redline, it really feels like it would be happy all the way up to 8K, but I won't try to push it there.
I am thinking now, that there may be some fuel delivery issues with the stock system, maybe not so much the pump, but restrictions in the system. I am looking at either adding an addition pump in parallel of having the stock pump feed an accumulator, then another pump to feed the rail.
The biggest problem with using a RRFPR is the increased pressure levels. The higher the pressure the pump has to make, the less the volume it can produce and any restrictions will be amplified.
I may try the road dyno again, but so far have been unsucessful at getting good runs with the MSD hooked up.
I'm going to make some turbo changes and am sure that I'll have some questions for you. TIA, I know you'll be helpful as always.
