Ok put on the AID yesterday, and I was amazed that it took only 20 mins. Yes no kidding my first and easiest job ever. Must be something in the time split, or vortex.
The good stuff. I've got my timing set to 17 BTC. Since I'm at 5670 ft. I went for a drive after putting it on and I can say is that it was impressive. The boost went to a rock solid 4/5th red and just stuck there. Yep I'll back down the wastegate to play it safe.
Things that I did notice was that the boost was not as neck snaping as before. I took out the AID and put back in the stock one. Boost was less stable but was more obvious. Tried the AID and, the boost is stable but it felt like it had less umph. Now don't get me wrong going from 50-90 in a few seconds was pretty spooky, but is it my timing? I had it set to 14 btc for this altitude. Low end stunk but it was really good at the upper end. I'm not sure just how far to go with it. Would going 18-20 btc be ok at this altitude without damage? Just looking to see if I'm just not finding the sweet spot and really have it fly.
