Hi TIA,
Saturday morning reading the rest of the thread. I wondered after sending my message if the NG might have an electric gauge. I cannot give you specifics for your car either, but, what I can do is share my philosphy on modifying our cars. I do not make any changes that have not been thoroughly thought out. If I do not feel I have got the best option, I sleep on it more. I also tend to only want to make changes that are reversible and do not permanently change or alter the car. Here is an example of that philosophy on my SPG. The installation includes the Autometer Phantom line boost gauge, air/fuel gauge, homemade digital intake air temp gauge, and my solution to the C900 lack of cupholder. This project took me much more time thinking about than actually doing. If I change my mind, it is totally removeable or reversible. If you know you can reverse it, you can go forward even if you are not totally sure.
So... I suggest you continue to think about it and explore all options until you feel comfortable about what you are about to do. Hope this helps.
Regards,
John
