My thoughts. Most of us have cars with limited mods that are driven in everyday driving. Lets be a little more realistic. Only increase the size to match your other mods. If you improve exhaust and intake flow by 10-15% total, then increase your injector size accordingly. Brad's right on about drivability, and generally you can run 10% larger and the system can compensate, at least the 2.4 can. A more useful application of a RR reg is to reduce idle pressure and have it ramp up later, if you need much larger injectors to match your other mods.
Thats an interesting note on comparable sizing in other cars, and another interesting thing is the 165-75HP C900's have 19lb units, and a 200HP 9000 has 34lb injectors, what is this saying?
As far as milage, once up to cruising RPM the fuel system, even if slightly fat at idle will work fine, and you will probably see an increase in milage. Why? Just that the new injectors don't have all that crap from several thousand gallons of gas thru them. I have 40lb injectors on my 9000, milage is fine, drivability is fine, and there is no more boost cut back due to detonation. I think anyone with the slightest mod will see a benefit from NEW, slightly larger injectors.
