Correct me if wrong on any of this...
By different, you mean the side and bottom pipes have different lengths on oem valve. And the Forge 006 pipe/port ends are out further than on the oem valve. But all are 25 mmm in dia.
By your description, the oem bosch is designed for install with high pressure to side pipe. correct?
'reversed' is a point of confusion. bosch diaphram types are 'normally' oem installed with side port to high pressure. 'reversed' is not good for the diaphram, esp at high boost, since diaphram is not under balanced pressure under boost. But, hi-po piston type BPVs are often designed for pressure to bottom pipe for best performance. 'reversed' for them is normal for oem bosch diaphram types.
Unlike some piston types, where little bottom piston area is exposed to the side port pressure, the Forge BPV's are designed with this area available to the side port. So the 007P should work well installed like the oem, high pressure to side port. Forge confirmed this with me.
The main reason to upgrade these valves, is the unreliable oem performance, either by diaphram tears, binding in body for high leakage, etc.
