Man, sometimes I get blasted by the knowledge that some people seem to have, prevailing over the daily nit-wits I seem to come in contact with over and over again. I'm assuming Dean is an engineer of types? I am as well, and ME (fresh out of grad school) Just finished a course on FEM and formulation of an FEM program. pretty difficuly. Anyway, I'd have to agree that adding a shock tower brace would not decrease overall body roll, but I can see where it might help with "keeping the tape on" so to speak. Help keep the wishbone (if you will) from squeezing together, maybe leading to a more solid feel. I would imagine some pretty knarly reinforcements would be needed to be welded to the undercariage of the car to reduce torsional flex significantly. but the balance thing comes into place, how much more weight does one want to add? Maybe take out the whole interior to bring weight back down, LOL. It's all a fresh balance. Kinda like the common discussion on handling characteristics between the 4 cyl turbo and 6 cyl (VWs especially). some say the 4banger handles considerably better than the VR6. Interesting topic. Let us all know what you feel it you all the brace!! Thanks!!
