yess u want high torsional stiffness from front to rear suspension. The strut braces reduce local lateral deformation for hard cornering, where most of weight in on outside wheels. Can prevent undesireable geometry changes, due to local lateral distortion, not just generalized frame twist.
Some stock FD rx7's come with both front and rear strut bars.
