Zeke and I had a fun morning. Thanks for lunch Zeke.
My car: '95 Aero, Automatic
Mods: Sabre SS cat-back exhaust
K&N drop-in filter
Air box modified ala Karl (two 2" holes)
Abbott reprogramed ECU (Max boost = 19 psi)
New NGK plugs
1 bottle of octane boost
Dyno results:
Max torque = 258.3 ft-lbs @ 4400 rpm
Front wheel HP = 216.6 @ 5200 rpm
If I assume the auto box has a 20% loss (what dyno operator speculated)
results in 260 hp at the crank.
If you assume 15% loss, about 250 hp.
I am pleased with the results. It's about where I thought it
should be, it's nice to have data to confirm it.
I am waiting for all you auto-box bashers to speak up.
My only comment is an auto-box and a turbo are a marrige made in heaven.
No turbo lag, seamless power.
Only problem is, you can't predict how long it will last!!!
