First off I have never personally heard of wastegate creep. There is such a thing as boost creep, which occurs when the pipe that the wastegate dumps into can't flow enough to control boost. What would happen in this case is that boost would seem to level off at a set level, but then as RPMs climb and quantity of exhaust gases increase boost will suddenly start climbing again. The only way to fix this would be to port where the wastegates dumps into. I do not think that this is a problem any Saab owner has encoutered on this board due to these car being correctly designed from the factory for FI apps. This is very different from a boost spike where boost shoots way up and then tapers back down.
As far as making an adjustable spring for an internal wastegate why waste time reinventing the wheel when the MBC+A does pretty much that. It puts extra force on the wastegate to control boost spikes and boost in general more accuratly. Instead of using spring tension you are using air preasure to create the force. Much simpler then going through the long fabrication process of installing an external wastegate if you are not going to be racing the car. IF I AM WRONG IN MY THINKING PLEASE PROTECT ME FROM MY OWN IGNORANCE AND CORRECT ME.
