I do not understand your lack of comprehension. The idea is to provide a very slight increase in boost in the lower gears and to provide a slightly higher boost increase in the upper gears. I do not plan on running the car with boost pinned to the back of the red and I do not plan on using any controller with my current hardware setup. On the 2000 auto, there was no benefit to be noticed regardless of the setting of the controller. Any increase in boost tripped the limp mode. Why? I have no idea and can only speculate. On the current car, it is obvious the ECU has different parameters allowing more boost. What you are implying is that the throttle body would have started to close when the boost went above the expected boost levels of the ECU. This was not the case as not only did the boost increase, so did the acceleration. Again the extreme levels tested were only to get an idea of what exactly "tolerable" is. "Tolerable" is a variable and until that variable is reached for the specific car and that specific ECU, there is not going to be any boost reduction, no limp mode, no CEL.
