OK, SO I worked out what it causing the issue.
On th eshift lever there is a pin, an dit locates it seems for 2nd and 4th inside a tube on the upright. In reverse it locates on teh outside (RHS). There is a minor alignment issue. When changing from 1st to 2nd the pin just hits the RHS of the tube. Unless I bring teh lever hard down the lhs it will slip into 4th.
SO I reckon it needs to be alligned better but is it supposed to be in the tube for 2nd and 4th or just 4th??
