1971 SAAB Sonett III - New Vredesteins are on! Posted by pistorman [Email] (#1278) [Profile/Gallery] (more from pistorman) on Fri, 22 Mar 2013 11:04:58 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Coker Tire had them in my house two days after ordering them. A few Dollars more and I had them installed in Wal Mart. I ordered the stock size 155 SR 15s. It still had the original Michelins with tubes in them and they had to go.
I still have some brake work to do, I'll need to order a whole bunch of engine maintenance and brake parts. I haven't tried to start it yet, and I somewhat looked at the brake hoses, they seem a bit perished but aren't cracked. The engine and brackets, etc., needs a good cleaning. Nothing major but a number of cobwebs, soot and dust.
I saw some parts in Skandix, some parts with Ashcraft, and people suggest Jack Lawrence in Motorsport Service of Jamestown, NY. I can't find his website. Is he still in business?
Also, Amazon and eBay seem to state that some Beck & Arnley brake cylinders fit as to some Sachs clutch pressure plates and disks. Some rebuild kits for the calipers, etc. Has anyone bought parts from Amazon for the Sonett?
