If you're sending to Willamette Wheel you don't need to supply rims, just the centers; they've got rims that fit. I think you can specify the width you want, and also the offset. But if you tell them it's for a Sonett they will know what offset to use -- they've done lots of wheels for Jack A. and I just told them I wanted a set like his.
I have been using the replacement rear springs that Motor Sport Services sells. They're about 25% stiffer than stock, and you can specify the ride height you want -- stock, lower, or higher -- and they set the length accordingly. I told them I wanted to maintain the stock ride height, which raised the car about 1" compared to my original saggy springs. Note that because these springs are stiffer than stock, their free length (before you put them in) is shorter -- they compress less with the weight of the car on them, so they have to be shorter to start with so that the car settles at the original height. This means you have to adjust a bit of length out of the straps that go under the rear axles so that the axle can't drop too far and let the springs shift.
I suppose the fact that I'm running stiffer rear springs may be why I'm not totally happy with the KYB shocks -- I think the theory is that stiffer springs require more shock control to manage them. I guess I'll live with the KYBs for a while but still would like to find some alternatives.
The Spax website lists several US distributors (see http://www.spax.co.uk/distributors/us.htm) but I haven't tried contacting them. Most seem to be Brit-car specialists so I'd rather make sure I have a correct part # first. I don't know what they cost -- talk used to be that Spax were more expensive than domestic but less than Koni, but now who knows?
Would appreciate hearing more knowledge on this from those who know...
