You may be experiencing what I am with Sonett that sat for a long time. I have been running a big inexpensive fuel filter and have had to change it three times in 200 miles. Crud in the gas tank. If you are not running a fuel filter add one now. Long time saaber recommended two filters, before and after the pump. I think the pump has a screen which can also get clogged. Sonett I just purchased has K&N's on the stock double snorkel. I will find the # and post it in the next few days. Many V-4's are running the Pertronix elecronic ignition conversion which does away with points. I am planning to run lead substitute as I don't want to need valve work. Lead build up doesn't make sense in my simple mind. Check out Jack Ashcrafts site @ http://www.pages.prodigy.net/jackashcraft/ - I think. he has been racing restoring and modifying Sonetts for many years. The other long time modification experts are Motor Sport Service ( MSS ), they sell lots of parts and modification parts. Their exhaust systems are the standard for performance of the V-4. They don't have a web site. Search this board for MSS and you will find e-mail & phone #'s.
